The feel good story would be Pineda, IF ...Daniel...
The feel good story would be Pineda, IF he has been pitching as well as they have said, he would be a great asset for the team. But as you said, can he hold up this year? What do you do with him? Ask him to go down to AAA to stretch out and come up, IF there is an injury?
Phelps, as I said above showed me he is no longer a Rookie with the way he got out of a tight spot.
Nuno has shown he can get the job done and is...as you said...a left hander, which is a plus. Most teams best hitters are left handed hitters, so it makes good sense.

Bottom line...Nuno is my call for the 5th spot, at this time!ken reedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07501114589046544682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2676591017018865408.post-35043579826766967592014-03-05T17:21:23.132-05:002014-03-05T17:21:23.132-05:00I'd like to see Nuno get the job out of camp. ...I'd like to see Nuno get the job out of camp. You have to worry about Pineda being stretched out and having the stamina to make 25-30 starts, with Nuno you do too but not as much.

Also I like having two left handed pitchers in the rotation. Also it's not like every one of our starters will make 35 starts, Pineda would get his turn. He didn't panic, he went about his business and saved the situation.
Question being, was it the catcher or the pitcher that saved the day? We know the pitcher will get the credit for everything...as he also gets the blame, if things go wrong. But, was it the pitch selection of Cisco or the talent, maturity, fortitude of Phelps?
Either way, I think it was a good step up for Phelps and Cisco!ken reedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07501114589046544682noreply@blogger.com
