What Number Will Kevin Youkilis Wear
This did not hit me when he signed until just now, just what number will Kevin Youkilis be wearing in 2013 for the Yankees? In his years in Boston and last year in Chicago he wore his traditional #20, but that number unofficially belongs to Yankee great Jorge Posada. Surely the Yankees would not let him, and hopefully he would not want to, wear the same number as Posada, right? How sickening would that be to see a former hated Red Sox wearing Jorge Posada's number for the Yankees? What say you?

#12 is my guess...
ReplyDeleteJoe Torre's old number, that will go over well lol
Deletejoe torre's old number is 6 brainiac.
DeleteWhy are the yanks holding on to numbers 6, 20, 21 and others? Torre, Posada and Oneil are not there.! Too soon to give Youk number 20 so I suppose he will get number 12. By the way, this is a good signing by the Yanks.
ReplyDeletebecause those numbers will all be retired in due time. torre was arguably the best manager in yankee history. posada was one of the best hitting catchers in baseball and won 4 world series rings. paul oneill was a fan favorite and a beast of a RF who had some of his best years in the bronx.
DeleteHe will wear #22
ReplyDeleteAnything but 6, 20, and 21. #s 12 and 22 are my guess.
ReplyDeleteI THINK HE SHOULD WEAR #99
ReplyDeleteHe better not wear #20. My guess is #12
