Thornton fu&#$!ng sucks! So does Roberts in the field. He's lucky he only got charged with one error. The Yanks better make some trades or dfa some shitty veterans. I would rather watch young prospects struggle then watch old veterans fail!
ReplyDeleteSo tired of Thornton throwing the flattest straightest fastball he can throw in big spots in games. So fucking tired of it.
ReplyDeleteDo me a favor and post his inherited runners scored. I can't seem to find that stat. I'm guessing it's around 50-60%. And all those runs and losses have affected other Yankee pitchers.
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly, before tonight, it's only 33% according to Baseball Reference
ReplyDeleteSearch for IS%
Even 33% is high. Especially because he's brought in to face a lefty.
ReplyDeleteDidn't think of that. Especially when sometimes he faces only one batter. Faced two lefties tonight. Two rbi singles later
DeleteExactly! You don't think that Bleich, Venditte, or Banuelos could do better?
ReplyDeletePreaching to the choir good sir. Banuelos especially could do better. Thornton hasn't been terrible overall unfortunately, had a nice stretch in June, but he just isn't fooling anyone.
