I can’t believe I haven’t done one of these all week, it’s
crazy. Too much going on with the team and in my life right now I guess but I
digress and I do apologize for leaving you guys out. Today I asked what place
you thought the New York Yankees will finish in the American League East
division this season and like I expected there was a mixed bag of answers. Some
answers were optimistic, some were pessimistic and obviously some were probably
realistic when we look back at this in October but for better or worse here are
your responses:
@GreedyStripes I'll say first because I expected so little this season and am already surprised!

@GreedyStripes 1st since the division is terrible. Whatever gets us there is fine by me
— Chris (143-19)Pirolo (@cagetheyanks) May 21, 2015
@GreedyStripes 2nd imo
— CeeCee Da Legend (@SkinnySabathia) May 21, 2015
@GreedyStripes 1st. Book it.
— nyyankeefanforever (@nyyankeefanfore) May 21, 2015
@GreedyStripes 1st due to the AL east being a weak division
— Luke Becker (@LukeBecker_YN26) May 21, 2015
@GreedyStripes 1st. I still believe
— Thiago K Kayano (@yzmmayo) May 21, 2015
@GreedyStripes they're better than lately and not as good as they were early. They're an 86 win team, 2nd place finish & 2nd wild card team
— Angelo Trento (@2_Moanzzz) May 21, 2015
@GreedyStripes 1ST 👍
— Scott Lee (@ScottLee80) May 21, 2015
@GreedyStripes first
— Andrew (@andrew9148) May 21, 2015
2nd at worst. If we don't win the division, O's or Jays will. https://t.co/IjUsH2UGDm
— C (@VamosYankees) May 21, 2015
@GreedyStripes 7th 😜
— Sol Weinreich (@SolfromBrooklyn) May 21, 2015
@GreedyStripes First, I hope. But second place is more realistic.

To be involved in our next Twitter poll be sure to give
@GreedyStripes a follow on Twitter and be on the lookout for our new Twitter
poll tweet. Enjoy the day Yankees family.
3rd possibly 4th
ReplyDeleteI could see Tampa but who else is better? Boston is horrible and so are Toronto and Baltimore. They all have a lot of talent and the Orioles have Showalter but that and a buck gets you a coke if you don't perform and they haven't.
DeleteBaltimore and Boston will both finish higher than the Yanks. Boston will get a stud pitcher either before deadline or after and Hal will have Cashman buy his usual Happy Meal player. I'm still going with 3 or 4 in the standings?
DeleteSaw from ESPN New York 20 or so of their next 31 games are at home and just 11 of their next 31 are against above .500 teams. So have to expect they pull away eventually and finish first
ReplyDeleteThey definitely went through a tough part of the schedule the last couple of weeks and are fortunate to be in first place still. If the rest of the East plays like they have and the Yankees can beat up on teams like Texas (like they are supposed to) then we could see some separation in the division.
