Mr. Eovaldi is back in Miami and is ready to take his next
step in his growth as a starting pitcher with the Yankees. Will we see Dr.
Jekyll or Mr. Eovaldi tonight? Stay tuned, Go Yankees!
In before Hans kills Eovaldi
ReplyDeleteI don't have to kill the straight Eovaldi, his pitching does it for him, especially tonight. Adding to his league leading hits against.
ReplyDeleteHe is going to start again Saturday. I wonder if that's to save the bullpen or if it's an audition between him and Friday night's starter Warren for the spot that Ivan Nova doesn't take up.
DeleteHANS..../....Van Dusen.....
ReplyDelete.....just in from watering the plants. You should kill Eovaldi. He looked confused.
Almost like he just had a conversation with Kenny.
Van Dusen......no need to say your sorry. It is, what it is.
St. Patty, here is a good article by Wally Matthews, whether you like him or not he makes some valid points. The Straight Eovaldi is on pace to break his record of hits given up in a year by over 50 hits if he attains the same inning amount as last year. I agree with Wally, that Straight should be sent to the pen and let Warren continue on his path as a number 5. The elf will never admit he made a mistake so Warren will be the fall guy. Read the article I am attaching the link

No need to read it Patrick, a few have been saying that for a long while. It is old news and better for him and the team.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone realize when A-Rod gets his 3,000 hit he will be one of only three players to ever have 600 HR's and 3,000 hits! He will join Aaron, Mays and he will be the third.
ReplyDeleteI looked it up by comparison but, if someone can find another for the group post it, please!
Three guys, that ain't a bad list to be on is it?
Honestly even without PED's I think he can come close to these numbers, a true talent.
DeleteHe could have been one of the All-time Greats if he had just let his talent carry him, he never needed PEDs in the first place.
DeleteThe HRs he hit in Texas would have been HRs anyway, that place is an HR hitters paradise!
THE STRAIGHT MAN.....I can't figure it out. Either, can Eovaldi.
ReplyDeleteHansel / Kenny...if Eovaldi is giving up so many hits, the pen is the last place to park him.
I think he has a blonde on his mind at this time, and it is distracting him.
Nice win tonight.
Sooooo many men left on base, early on. Now in the third year of leaving many men on base.
Bases loaded, one out....I walk away, or turn off the sound....they do not score.
Tonight, I pulled the plug on the radio. Such opportunities wasted. A shame.
I'm sorry...but they can do better than Ryan / Drew.
Patty Mulch he can take the place of Capuano(sp) as long relief man. Listening to the Kay show today they were talking about straight Eovaldi and that's exactly what Kay said about him, he is 98 and straight. The Yanks are relying on LR to fix him and it isn't working if your on pace to destroy your hits record the previous year by about 50 hits. Phelps pitched pretty good and to me they both are number 5's, but at least with Phelps he had secondary pitches he could throw. Straight is just that and his cure is suspect and split is nothing to write home about as of now.
DeleteThey have better in the minors, they just won't use them. I don't understand why and it's frustrating. They will use pitchers and outfielders all day long, even catchers... but not middle infielders.
DeleteThe way Eovaldi is pitching and the way Phelps has looked in his last two starts he may be closer to a #4 and a much better #4 then Evo right now.
DeleteCouldn't agree with you more, however we all know how the elf works, Straight can continue to crap the bed and he won't move him out of the rotation because it makes him look like he lost the trade. 98 and straight isn't anything special as a pitcher. I'll take 89 with movement over 98 and straight any day of the week
DeleteNo need to know that about Arod people, its old news!
ReplyDeleteTouche KH, thanks for the compliment. Using another's line is a complement!
DeleteMore to the point is the fact that there are so many guys in the 500 and 600 club that were using PEDs or greenes etc. that it is a great honor to be there even with the PEDs.
One that has hit in the #4 hole most of his career getting 3,000 hits and over 600 HRs is a very big deal and not many have written of it.
