One of the most underrated players on the team and would be only 8 years older than I am. He was a better catcher than Yogi for a few years and let's throw in hitter also. One of the two played LF or catcher for most every game. The first Black player on the Yankees, bad thing is Elly went to the Last Party much to soon, for a gentleman and a very good HoF type of player!
