Good morning Yankees family and welcome back to the blog. I
predicted before the series started that the New York Yankees would beat the
Boston Red Sox in five games. I predicted this because I wanted the Yankees to
clinch the series inside Fenway Park after the Red Sox clinched the AL East
Division crown inside Yankee Stadium, but also because I knew how closely
matched these two teams truly were. Game Four will be played tonight in the
Bronx in front of the Yankee Stadium faithful and I truly cannot wait. I expect
a zoo inside the Bronx tonight, and will settle for nothing less. Go Yankees!!
And baby, another playoff game we get to watch together. You
are my good luck charm, in life and in baseball. I love you so much. I love who
you are, I love what you are, and I love that you mean so much to me, my world
and to my existence. I am nothing without you. Thank you for being you.
Well this season has not turned out like I hoped.
ReplyDeleteThe Yankees need to change hitting philosophies and soon.
They were 28 out of 30 teams in making contact.
They led all of MLB in homer runs but total extra-base hits middle of the pack while Boston was at the top.
Something has to change, that philosophy over 162 games does ok during the regular season but playoffs it will stand out like a sore thumb ( game 1 prime example)
Severino just might be our Price in the playoffs.
We need a clear cut ace, or near ace starting pitcher for playoffs.
We need another El Duque.
I don't feel good about CC on the mound, Boston has no mercy for the enemy in their eyes as evident as last nights game.
Eovaldi had to smile last night knowing 2 years ago we none tendered him because he was hurt instead of keeping him.
Yep, our season probably ends today after being so promising .

DeleteIs it just me or has Alex Cora outcoached Aaron Boone so far this series? Each one of Cora's adjustment yesterday paid dividends, while Boone's biggest decision, or lack thereof, was questionable at best. It's no mystery that Severino's command has been inconsistent during the second half of the season. Boone waited far too long to pull him in the 4th before the game got out of hand. Lets hope Boone shows better judgement this evening.
ReplyDeleteHe probably has, but aside from last night I don't think Boone's decisions have been as bad as they have been made out to be. He left Severino too long, no one denies that.
