The first is a gleyber torres defense highlights. The next 2 are andujar.

https://youtu.be/9EPtEaB9y2w

https://youtu.be/nLPRCpHscm0

https://youtu.be/aGFbXtMiLYo

The point, the third video shows him slow on his feet and a shitty throw that bounces at the pitcher mound. Gets the out, but keep in mind this is a "highlight" video. And it's from last year, age 22.... Compared to torres, slow to transfer ball to throwing hand, shitty feet, double pumps, and shit throws. Torres is like butter. Again,, he makes (gleyber) stupid errors, but come on.

And here's just a stat. For "remote plays" that get made 1-10% of the time, andujar has made 0 of 24. Machado has career 9.6% of 125. For unlikely, made 10-40% of time, andujar has made 1 for 15 (6.7%). Machado, career, has made 46% (out of 69). Again, this is to show their range. More than just errors!

Now, we can say today defense isn't as important. I could argue that, and it holds some truth, but I don't agree. Really, If we could trade Stanton, I'd be more interested in harper. If we can't, I'd be more interested in Machado. Just need to get creative and get andujar playing time another way. Let the shit manager figure out that part. Daryl https://www.blogger.com/profile/12405687520642126665noreply@blogger.com
