They can't do it. This is their chance to patch holes with winners who've been there in the post season before and have produced. I just hope they take it and don't worry about appeasing fans with big names.joconnr1https://www.blogger.com/profile/09886598901691870040noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2676591017018865408.post-84779270327814438542013-11-20T22:38:03.825-05:002013-11-20T22:38:03.825-05:00JOHN..once more. Jay-Z has unfortunately gotten in his ear, thinks he has the Yankees management (and by proxy the fans) by the cajones and definitely thinks he's the juice as an agent.

I really wish the fans could start a grass roots effort to reinforce the fact that they can see that even at half the rate he's asking for, the smart money isn't on Cano here. If you look at some alternatives like Omar Infante 2B, Beltran RF, and even someone like Jhonny Peralta for third and a platoon lefty catcher like AJ Pierzinski, they blow guys like Cano (and even Granderson who I like) away i post season batting avg and OBP. They could drop less money and get some guys who'll make a real impact (ala the old A's/Red Sox style of doing things).joconnr1https://www.blogger.com/profile/09886598901691870040noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2676591017018865408.post-18956928707270844132013-11-20T18:59:20.606-05:002013-11-20T18:59:20.606-05:00Gotta love the double meanings..Gotta love the double meanings..Daniel Burchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04212584396848733519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2676591017018865408.post-22175475722793657522013-11-20T18:14:49.127-05:002013-11-20T18:14:49.127-05:00"pre-Madonna’s like Alex Rodriguez"

IF (still hate that word), Nunze can adapt to 3rd base, we should be ok...even better than getting someone from the outside. Conversely, should we use him as a trading chip, he has a lot of talent, maybe with another team he would have a chance to show it.
