"The Moose" pitched in the "AL Beast" so make-up your own mind but, for this year, it is done....the better man lost!

Frank Thomas and Edgar Martinez, were both part time players. Both were very good position players at one time. but ended their careers as DHs!
Frank "The Walking Machine" made a career of having the inside (on the black) pitch called a ball.
Edgar Martinez, Changed the DH position forever. The last few years he played an avg. of what, 2.3 games at 1st? That is a part time player.ken reedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07501114589046544682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2676591017018865408.post-71778939143530024562014-01-09T07:41:09.519-05:002014-01-09T07:41:09.519-05:00Sorry about the proceeding comment I deleted! Moose should not be penalized because he went out on top and on his terms. Throw out 300 wins and look at EVERYTHING ELSE and you can see that Moose was better. I have a post scheduled for tomorrow afternoon for you but I'll give you a little preview now. Mike Mussina is better than Tom Glavine. Lacked the longevity of Glavine, but was better for 18 seasons.

Stay tuned and prepare to be taught something :)Daniel Burchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04212584396848733519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2676591017018865408.post-11220229421690367752014-01-08T07:27:11.884-05:002014-01-08T07:27:11.884-05:00I agree with your list outside of Mussina which is...I agree with your list outside of Mussina which is shocking considering I am a Yankees fan. I do not think he is a first ballot Hall of Famer. He had a lot of skill, and maybe it was the era he played in with all of the great pitchers, but he did not win a lot of awards or really stick it during his time. He was top 5 Cy-Young winner a lot, he won 7 gold gloves. But I see him as a 2nd-5th ballot. Not a first. If I need to think about it for more than 30 seconds if you should be first ballot, you are not worthy in my eyes.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03870174891024828842noreply@blogger.com
