Alfonso Soriano has been scratched from today's game and has been listed as day to day with a sprained thumb. The Yankees cannot afford to lose another player, especially Soriano, but for at least a day or two this will be the case. The Yankees playoffs hopes are dwindling with every loss and every injury so this one hurts more than the Brett Gardner injury.
