Yankees Do Not Seem Interested In Kevin Youkilis Return

The New York Yankees do not seem willing or interested in bringing back Kevin Youkilis for the 2014 season and Youk's agent Joe Bick confirmed as much. Bick claims that Youk is healthy and ready to go and would have been if the Yankees had made the post season. Still Youk is 24 years old and has multiple seasons with back injuries, he is a huge question mark.

Youk only saw 118 plate appearances in 2013 and put up a weak .219/.305/.343 triple slash with only two home runs. Youk only saw 28 games after the back kept him out and missed a ton of Spring Training as well with another injury. Mark Reynolds gave us everything that Kevin Youkilis was supposed to last season so if anyone comes back it will be Reynolds and not Youkilis.

  4. Tommy Twasp....bad news. Suggest you sit down. Please remove your shoe laces, and belt.
Last week you could not locate your lady.....the lovely ....iTarsier. So many years together, shattered during a emotional rant about Mantle. She had enough of your ranting, and took a Greyhound out of town.
No, not to Kenny's swinging toupee world, but with.........eh.....eh...dam!
    Shes at GP's ...' Wives & Girlfriends '.....gracing Francisco Cervelli's world. I recognized....her smile.
Sorry, it could be worse, she could be with me.

    1. Patrick you South Irishman, Enough about the toupee, the one thing I hold over from the 50s is my hair, let no one ever touch it, without some serious broken bones.
Now alas, it is about all gone as well as I.
And don't even think about the Polar Ice Thing this winter, I have been running about 3.5 miles almost daily, that is cold enough. Ice is only good for my Pepsi.

I think my lady would stack up with many of those wives, even at 58 years old, still only 92 lbs. Anyhow that is my opinion!

What did you think of my analysis of Arod?

    1. It was mostly a concise and true synopsis of him.
We may not like him for different reasons but, talent has always been there. Comparing him to "The Babe" is not something I would touch with a ten foot pole, The Babe ends up #1 in so many categories but, again I take into account the position they played...who will ever know how things would turn out if they both played in the end of the last century!

    2. In the context of the greatest baseball player of all time.....hard to go against the Babe .....he was so far ahead of all his peers in so many categories.

But in the context of best ALL AROUND player ...I give it ti the Roid versus the Babe...why?

the Babe could never steal 46 bases in a season
the Babe didnt have the athletic ability to play SS like the Roid
the Babe couldnt run the bases like the Roid

    3. ha ha did you think TWASP could write such an unbiased critique of Alex Rodriquez? did you think TWASP thought so highly of him as a ballplayer?

    4. I couldn't tell by other posts about him

You took your glasses off, good for you!
Like I said, "Comparing him to "The Babe" is not something I would touch with a ten foot pole, The Babe ends up #1 in so many categories but, again I take into account the position they played".

Also, one must remember the babe was a very fine pitcher in the start.

      But again I agree!

    6. Daniel.....we need your opinion on the above, who was the greatest ALL AROUND player...?

I say the walking syringe Arod, a master at every phase of the game. OldYankee says he doesnt like to pick against the Babe but agrees with TWASP.

    9. Alex Rodriguez is def a better all around player then Babe Ruth was. A Rod was a true five tool player with speed, bat, defense, base running, power, everything. Yes Babe could pitch but I just don't see the Babe as the pure athlete that A Rod is/was. That is not to downplay the Babe either, he is definitely Top 5, but A Rod tops that list IMO.

    10. I have no problem with A-rod being the #1 all around ballplayer over the Babe, I was just pointing out he was also a fine pitcher but, a better offensive weapon than A-Rod.
As an offensive weapon, the Babe stands alone.
Mickey was the best 5 tool player I had ever seen but, A-Rod is better than the Mick. The Mick had the great five tools but, as nice as the five tools are the 6th tool is the most important part of a player...baseball Instincts. A-Rod has the 6 power, Mickey and The Babe never did have it.

I sure would have liked to see the Babe play in his better days.
