Adam Warren and Hiroki Kuroda three bullpen sessions today to Francisco Cervelli. Cervelli mentioned more about learning how to speak Japanese and less about the hitting, which is fine by me because I think his stat line speaks for itself.
Speaking of Warren he will be pitching in relief on Friday in relief of CC Sabathia, a sign of the fifth starter decision? Vidal will also pitch in relief tomorrow of David Phelps, all signs point to Warren and Nuno headed to the minor leagues or the bullpen and not to the fifth starter position.
Brendan Ryan, Russ Canzler, and Scott Sizemore all took full batting practice outside today while trying to come back from injuries. Ryan is penciled in to start tomorrow while it will likely be Friday before we see Sizemore at the earliest. No word on when Canzler will get back into action after a sore hip sidelined him.
Preston Claiborne was scratched from today's spring training game and instead pitched two innings in a minor league game. You should have said the two innings part before you said the scratched part, scared me a little, but what can you do.

Francisco Cervelli...Catcher....New York Yankees.
ReplyDeleteSome now say, that Cervelli, could be the best back up catcher in MLB. If not, than close.
Going 14 for 25, with 3 home runs this spring....will certainly attract a following.
I've been preaching his word for years. I hope that dark cloud has moved on.
Greedy Pinstripe Writers....Who is Peter Abraham ?
ReplyDeletePeter Abraham, wrote for LOHUD, for years. Now covering the Sox, for the Boston Globe.
He is not good, he is superb. A gem in bean town.
When I first started writing on line, I wanted to try to be as good as Peter.
No, I'm no where near his talent. I'm too crazed, and sappers annoy me.
Take the time to read his stuff. You have an opportunity to hone your skills.
No fear. Peter is a Yankee fan, he was born into it. Going to Boston, was a move he had to make.
I am about 99% sure that Peter is a Red Sox fan and going to the Boston Globe was a home coming...
ReplyDeleteALERT !!...Sound General Quarters !!...........The Tigers are on the prowl for a short stop. Dam !
ReplyDeleteAmong a select few, they are asking about Arizona's Owings, and Gregoius. Dam !
Arizona now wants MLB-ready pitching. What happened to young catching ? Dam !
Owings is the prize, not Gregorius. I thought the Yanks could go from Jeter, to Owings. Dam !
what happened is their ace Patrick Corbin went down with Tommy John surgery.....
DeletePETER ABRAHAM...REDUX !
ReplyDeleteThe day it was announced he was going to Boston......From 'River Ave Blues.'

"I wish him luck in Boston, but I’m not completely sure why one would choose that hornet’s nest over New York.
Maybe he’s a big fan of not having to bathe daily and dating your first cousin. Shot in the dark."

* Daniel...thank you on the Patrick Corbin post.
That was more of a bash on Boston and not so much his fandom. Also I think that was when the Yankees had the best record in all of baseball and the Red Sox were ready to miss the playoffs for the second or third straight season.
DeleteYes sir, that's why I am here
