Anyone Ever Wanna Try Smoked Mallard Legs?

Smoked Mallard Duck Legs Are on Tap for Sunday at Riley Park
Smokin' Chef Josh Shea to Begin RiverDogs' Lineup of Smokin' Delicacies

CHARLESTON, SC - As previously announced, the Charleston RiverDogs are teaming with some of Charleston's best chefs to host a season-long "Smokin' Chef" food item for a selected game during a homestand throughout the five-month season. The chef will be at the game and stationed by the RiverDogs' new smoker and will promote the specific dish, ensuring that it is being served appropriately and visit with fans.
On Sunday, April 13, the club's food and beverage director Josh Shea will be the first "Smokin' Chef" to present his special dish when the RiverDogs host the Augusta GreenJackets at 5:05 pm at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.
Shea's creation on Sunday will be smoked mallard duck legs, and it will be prepared in front of fans.
In addition, the RiverDogs will donate a portion of the proceeds from the smoked item to the Lowcountry Food Bank.
"We want to bring the Charleston atmosphere into The Joe and create an environment that lets local chefs, including our own celebrity smoker chef and food and beverage director Josh Shea, showcase their talents," said RiverDogs General Manager Dave Echols. "This is a unique concept that we feel will catch on and become quite popular with our fans, and help raise funds for the Lowcountry Food Bank in the process."
The smoked item will be easy for a fan to pick up and eat, and depending on the item, will cost $5, $6 or $7.
Tickets are on sale for the entire RiverDogs season. For more information, please contact the Riley Park Box Office at 843/577-DOGS (3647) or online at www.riverdogs.com. If fans cannot make it to the ballpark, they are encouraged to tune in to all the action this year both home and away worldwide on www.riverdogs.com and locally on 1250 WTMA, the RiverDogs' new radio home.
