I just wanted to take the time to remind everyone in case they missed it that tonight will be the first Yankees game on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball. Everyone should be warned and know ahead of time where the mute button is on their respected televisions and remotes before game time. If you do choose to actually listen to the game please be willing to leave all logic at the door. It's ESPN, it's the Red Sox, and it's a nationally televised game so lot's of beard jerking should go on tonight, can't wait.
Now that we showed we can give a pitcher some support, let's keep giving the support they need.
ReplyDeleteLet's face it, having to go out there, day after day, knowing they can't give up a run, puts to much pressure on them. Pressure on some pitchers, is not a good thing (See AJ Burnett).
I would rather spread the Pressure around a bit...like all the pitchers and position players, in fact, why not include the 25 man Roster!
What I am trying to say is; "This is a TEAM Game" it is not a one or two man show. The Greatest pitchers in the world can't win without a run being scored for them and, the greatest hitters can't win if the pitching let's in 5 to 8 runs a game.
I have felt, the team just hasn't gotten the game together yet, after-all they haven't played many games as a team yet this year. This will be their 13th game to-night, now is the time for all 25 to finish what they started yesterday
