Welcome to the latest edition of the New York Subway Series as the New York Yankees take on the New York Mets tonight at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees will send Hiroki Kuroda to the mound to face off with Bartolo Colon for the Mets. The game will be played at 7:05 pm ET and can be seen on the YES Network, MLB TV, and can be heard on the radio with WFAN.
Kuroda expressed some discomfort with the Yankees shifting behind his defensively and responded well last time out when the Yankees played their defense straight up. Kuroda allowed three runs, one earned, in 7.2 IP striking out eight Angels. Kuroda owns a career 2-5 record with a 4.14 ERA against the Mets all time.
It's a shame that Colon will not have to hit tonight, that is always entertaining. Colon has started seven games this season and has only allowed 16 runs combined in his two losses. In the other five starts Colon has a 2.65 ERA and has 28 strikeouts and two walks.
Go Yankees!!
