Esmil Rogers has won the sweepstakes to make the start tomorrow night in Yankee Stadium against the Cleveland Indians. Rogers is likely to make just one start in place of the injured David Phelps before the Yankees welcome Michael Pineda back to the Bronx.
Looking forward to this. Rogers has been pretty good this week
ReplyDeleteHopefully it's just for one start. I can't wait to see Pineda back.
DeleteAmen!
DeleteWould had liked to have seen Banuelos or Mitchell, but it seems anything in a Yankees uniform will simply morph into an ace, I guess.
ReplyDeleteMitchell is coming up anyway, hopefully he gets into a game and can show the Yankees what he's got.
DeleteBy the way, the three great lefty specialists down in the farm, mentioned as the reasoning for simply discarding Thornton, isn't the idea to promote one? The present lefty specialist wasn't mentioned as a wonderful relacement and Daley already gave up the homer in the lone lost to Detroit.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the Yankees can make a move like that quite yet, as the rotation is in shambles. Be patient my young padawan.
