Mat Gamel's tenure in a Yankee uniform lasted around a week as on March 8 New York signed him and today they released him. Gamel was signed to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training and was barely in camp a week before the Yankees had seen enough apparently.
Gamel has missed the last two seasons with two separate ACL tears and was thought to finally be healthy heading into 2015. I guess not.
