This Day in New York Yankees History 4/16: Sweet Caroline & the Evil Empire

On this day in 2013 the Yankee Stadium fans and the New York Yankees players sang Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline to pay tribute to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. Sweet Caroline is the anthem for the Boston Red Sox which makes it significant. Prior to the game with the Arizona Diamondbacks the Yankees displayed their logo alongside the Red Sox logo with the words "United We Stand" on an outside video board.

Boston Marathon Suspect Captured

In a great bit of news that I felt compelled to share authorities have captured the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings. The 19 year old boy who was involved with the bombings with his older brother was captured in Watertown, Massachusetts yesterday after a day long man hunt. This hopefully closes the book on this tragedy and people can finally begin the grieving and mourning process and eventually move past this.  For anyone who cares what the scums name is it is Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Victory for Boston and victory for America!
