Quick Hit: Derek Jeter’s One Regret in MLB

"Yo, I should have started this blogging stuff YEARS ago"

The YES Network recently had an interview with former Yankees captain and shortstop Derek Jeter before his number is retired with the team and before a ceremony goes down on Mother’s Day in the Bronx. In the interview, which can be seen on the YESNetwork.com Jeter spoke about numerous things but one topic in particular caught my eye when I read it, Jeter talked about his one and only regret during his 20-years in Major League Baseball.

Keeping a journal. Derek Jeter’s one and only mistake from his entire 20-year tenure in Major League Baseball and with the Yankees is that he did not keep a journal for the first 19-years of his career. Jeter said in the interview that he did keep a journal during his final season and wished he had done so during his entire career.

How cool would it be to be the child of Derek and Hannah Jeter and to read that journal? How awesome would it have been to read a journal from his entire 20-year tenure with the Yankees? I don’t think you could put a price on that but if you could I would pay it without blinking an eye.

Name your price Jete. Name it.

Derek Jeter the Potential Owner!

Major League Baseball, are you ready for the return (potentially) of the great Derek Jeter to the game? No the Yankees shortstop is not returning to the field as a player but the future Hall of Fame player is trying to get back into the game in another way, as an owner. The Miami Marlins are reportedly up for bid and Derek and his wife Hannah are one of three potential bidders for the franchise.

Jeter, who is represented by Gregory Fleming in the potential transaction, is joined by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and a group of businessmen from Goldman Sachs as potential buyers for the franchise.

Jeffrey Loria bought the team back in 2002 for a whopping $158 million and the potential price tag for Mr. Jeter or Mr. Bush could go anywhere from an estimated $800,000 to $1.6 billion. Loria is putting the team up for sale after reports came out that stated he may be nominated by President Trump to become ambassador for the United States to France.

You know what I am going to say to the potential return of Derek Jeter to the sport and game we all love. Yes please. I’m rooting for you Jeter! Good luck.

Congratulations to Hannah and Derek Jeter!

Yes, yes I know I am incredibly late to this party but I had a lot of catching up to do and I am just now getting to this. I want to take a second to send a big congratulations out to the former Yankees Captain, Derek Jeter, and his absolutely beautiful wife, Hannah Jeter, on the announcement that the couple is expecting a baby girl. This will be the pair’s first child.

According to Hannah her husband, Derek, has a name picked out already although that name has not been publicly released as of the time of this writing.

Again, congrats to them both. How awesome is this little girl going to be having Derek and Hannah Jeter as parents? There are no words.

Have a great night everyone and, God willing, we’ll see you all again tomorrow. And the next day. And the next day too. Friends.

Derek Jeter Trolls Red Sox Fans & I Love It

Hey, when Derek Jeter talks the New York Yankees universe tends to listen so while this isn’t so much “news” per se it’s still worth mentioning here on the blog. Derek Jeter was recently on the television late night show “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and he had an interesting quote that was directed straight towards Red Sox Nation.

In the interview Jeter was quoted as saying:
“I can say this now that I’m retired, but Boston fans have softened up since you guys have won. And it pains me to say it but I almost … I won’t say it. I’m not happy you won, but you treat me a lot better.”

Yeah Jeter, that’s not going to be the case for very much longer. I hope Hannah Davis is ready for the heckling and such at restaurants, appearances and in general. You stirred the pot Derek and frankly, I love it. Keep them coming and keep on enjoying retirement.

TMZ Reports Derek Jeter Getting Married

According to TMZ.com Derek Jeter may or may not be getting married this weekend to the very beautiful Hannah Davis in Long Island, New York. Derek is supposedly throwing a "super secret" bash at the legendary Oheka Castle and the 24 year old Davis and the 40 year old Jeter are expected to be there.

Jeter mentioned that he was ready to start a family, one of the many reasons he decided to retire after 2014,  and Michael Jordan even asked Derek at Derek Jeter Day at Yankee Stadium. I remember saying on Twitter that I could hear MJ asking Derek if he was getting married and Derek's response being inaudible.

This could be a retirement bash, or it could be a wedding, or it could be nothing. Either way, stay tuned.

Derek Jeter Is A Single Man Again

Derek Jeter is a single man again after he broke up with Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Hannah Davis. I think the question that everybody wants to know is whether Davis got a gift basket or not, well she did so don't worry about her. Jeter reportedly dumped her because she was becoming too famous for him, does Jeter have a God complex? This isn't the first time he has dumped a girlfriend right before they really blew up in the media and such.

Yeah Jeets!
