The Return of the Saturday Night Open Thread

Well we haven’t done one of these in a while. Say hello to the return of the Saturday Night open thread here on The Greedy Pinstripes. The comments section has been pretty quiet here lately and I take full responsibility for that. I have been quiet on the comments section and throughout the weekends here and that’s my fault and I apologize for that. Let’s turn that around tonight with the Saturday night open thread. Talk about anything you like, just keep it semi-clean and semi-respectful of others like you guys always do.

I’ll start… how’s your Fantasy team doing? Mine is in last place J Also who do you have winning the Yankees game tonight? I’m hoping the Yankees offense finally made it to Progressive Field and they break out in a big way.

It’s Saturday night and the Yankees game for the day is in the books, what does one do with their time? Do they read a book? Spend time with family? Catch up on the new American Horror Story or the hilarious show “Atlanta” starring and produced by Donald Glover? Cut the grass while it’s not 115 degrees outside? I don’t know, I haven’t made up my mind yet. While I do I leave you with this open thread for the evening to discuss whatever you’d like.

Enjoy the rest of your evening Yankees family and we’ll be back at it strong again tomorrow for the finale in Boston. I’m not ready to give up on this playoff push just yet and neither should you. This is still an exciting team that has all the pieces necessary to make another run. Just have to do it.

The top prospects in the Yankees farm system have been checked in with, the Yankees and Twins game is in the books, we decided for Brian Cashman and company who should go down if and when Mark Teixeira returns from the disabled list and now we’re beat. By now the Yankees game is likely over, this was written a bit in advanced so I could actually go out on a Saturday night and be a human for once, and so is much of this Saturday night. The weekends go too fast and the work week goes by far too slow doesn’t it? Anyway before I ramble I will leave you with this open thread for the rest of the night.

Greedy Pinstripes Saturday Night Open Thread

So I didn’t mention this earlier, I know I’m weird because I don’t put my every waking breath on Facebook or social media my wife and friends tell me that all the time, but I went to a drag racing show. I have to specify drag RACING show because earlier when I told people I went to a drag show, without thinking, their mind went to women dressed as men and vice versa. I don’t have a problem with that personally, although fashion isn’t my thing whatsoever, but some people still do. Whatever. Anyway it was my first time and I have to say it was pretty awesome. Loud, kind of crazy and really freaking early but it was awesome. I’m ready to relax though I’ve been going on less than six hours of sleep for over two weeks straight now and it’s starting to catch up with me so with that said I leave you with this open thread for the night.

TGP Saturday Night Open Thread

Boy do I need an open thread tonight, I’m whooped. First and foremost watching the Yankees is just mentally draining lately and it is especially nerve wracking when you watch them play against a division rival like the Tampa Bay Rays. Then I had to weed eat two acres of grass today because it was getting long and my lawnmower did not want to start. After working on it for about an hour I gave up and weed eated (which is not a word I know but I’m tired and my mind doesn’t work right now) everything. I’m getting too old for that.

Also as you know I am an avid Walking Dead fan and I play their app Walking Dead Road to Survival. Well a couple weekend a month factions can go head-to-head in All Out War and that was this weekend. It’s basically 72 hours of taking strong points and killing characters. Well, maybe a little crap talking too but I’ll never tell. I’m beat so here is your open thread for the night. Be good because I’m going to bed soon.

Oh wait, I can’t. UFC 197 and Jon Jones is tonight. Crap. Well, have a good one anyway!

Saturday Night Open Thread

The Yankees game for the day is in the books as the grounds crew and personnel at Yankee Stadium prepare for Bernie Williams Day tomorrow night in the Bronx. I am preparing for that myself right here on the blog so tonight I leave you with a Saturday night open thread to discuss anything you guys want. Bernie Williams Day, the NBA playoffs, the fact that you’re still mad about the Draft Lottery, whatever you want. Have fun with it and enjoy.
