Yankees & Indians Game Postponed Due To Rain
Tonight's scheduled game between the Yankees and the Cleveland Indians has been postponed due to a rain out. There is no word on when the game will be made up but they did say that there will not be a double header tomorrow so there is always that. This kind of helps because I would assume that tonight's scheduled starter Ivan Nova will pitch in tomorrows finale instead of Phil Hughes who is battling a stomach bug.
Lineup: NYY @ CLE 4/10

Robinson Cano 2B
Kevin Youkilis 3B

Yankees vs. Indians game postponed
Tonight's Yankees vs. Indians game has been postponed due to inclement weather. The Yankees will play one scheduled game tomorrow, but there's no word on the make-up date. Zach McAllister is due to go for the Indians. The Yankees have not named a starter as of yet. It could be Ivan Nova who was supposed to be tonight's starter or it could be either Phil Hughes, David Phelps or Adam Warren. Why Phelps and Warren? Hughes has a stomach virus and we're unsure if he'll be ready to pitch tomorrow. So let's use this post as an open thread. Enjoy the rest of your evening and I'll see you back here tomorrow night.
New York Yankees @ Cleveland Indians 4/10
The Yankees offense is on fire and they hope to keep that going tonight when they play the third game of their four game series with the Cleveland Indians. The Yankees will send Ivan Nova to the mound looking to bounce back after a horrible first start. No starter has been announced at the time of this writing for the Indians. The game will be televised at 7:05 pm ET on YES and ESPN 2.
NHL Considering Yankee Stadium For Outdoor Game
The National Hockey League is looking to play three outdoor games this season. One of them is the Winter Classic in Michigan, which has been held on or around New Year's Day since 2003 when it was held in Edmonton. As for the other two games, Dodger Stadium is being looked at hard as a venue. Another location for one of the two remaining outdoor games is Yankee Stadium.
The Yankees have wanted the Winter Classic to be held at the new Yankee Stadium since it opened a few years ago, but scheduling conflicts with the Pinstripe Bowl have prevented that.
I'm sure plenty of Yankee fans, who are also fans of the Rangers, are excited at the prospect of an NHL game happening at Yankee Stadium.
