In 1938 Lou Gehrig hits his 493rd, and final, home run in his career before retiring from ALS, or more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. 15 years earlier to the day he hit his first career home run.
What could have been, IF not for ALS! One of the nicest Yankees of his or any other time! Did anyone ever know that Lou and Mickey both hit in the 4 spot to protect the number 3 hitters..."The Babe" and Roger Maris.
It is impressive that he hit his first and last Home run the same day. It is a pity that a disease made him retired.
ReplyDeleteNice post. I discover some thing much harder on various blogs everyday. Can you give me some tips for piece of software writing?
ReplyDeleteprice per head services
It's very impressive price per head. They don't make them like Gehrig anymore.
