King Felix's Elbow

"Hmm... this doesn't look like an x-ray of an elbow."

On Thursday it was reported that Felix Hernandez and the Seattle Mariners were closing in on an extension to his current contract, one that would keep him in Seattle for 7 more years (he currently has 2 more years remaining on his contract).

Well, it turns out that Felix is having some elbow trouble that has the Mariners hesitant on completing the extension. We shouldn't get our hopes up, though, as both sides have made it clear that they want one another in each other's lives forever. So the way things look, the only way King Felix becomes a free agent in a couple of years is if his elbow issue is a serious one. In which case we may not want the Yankees to go there anyway.
