On this day in 1998 in front of 50,000 fans on Beanie Baby Day at the stadium, and possibly drunk on top of that, David Wells threw the 13th perfect game in major league history. David Wells retired all 27 Minnesota Twins he faced in a 4-0 Yankees victory.
