Cesar Cabral was placed on waivers and cleared and was sent down to the Yankees AA team the Trenton Thunder. Now that Cabral has cleared waivers the Rule 5 draft rules no longer apply and he is now the Yankees property and they can do with him what they wish. Cabral's 30 day rehab window was due to end any day now so this is great news for the Yankees as they keep the depth and give Cabral just a little more time to work things out.
