Former Yankees Update Jose Contreras

Jose Contreras was recently released by the Pittsburgh Pirates and now has signed a minor league deal with the Boston Red Sox. Yankees fans should be familiar with the name Jose Contreras as he was a New York Yankees player from 2003 - 2004. Now in his age 41 season and fresh off shoulder inflammation and the bereavement list Contreras is still looking to resurrect his career now with the Red Sox. I would say good luck but good luck to the Red Sox means bad luck to us so all I will say is congratulations.

  1. I didn't even know this guy was still playing. Why would anybody sign him right now? He's been awful for the last 10+ years.

  2. Valid point but at the same time when is the last time the Red Sox made a mistake on a personnel move?
