Ivan Nova of the New York Yankees has been named the American League Pitcher of the Month for the month of August. Nova is the first Yankee to win the award since CC Sabathia won it way back in July of 2011 after putting up a 2.08 ERA and a 3.08 FIP in 43.1 IP in six starts. Congratulations to Ivan and hopefully he can keep this going all the way through September and into the post season.
