Yankees Will Play In Panama In March

Mariano Rivera asked for it and Mo gets what Mo wants apparently as the New York Yankees will be traveling to Panama to play an exhibition game in March. Panama is the home country of their retiring All Star closer and will host the Yankees in a Spring Training tune up game on both March 15th and 16th of 2014. The Marlins will be the team we are playing while down there as this is happening but I have a feeling more of the attention will be on the Yankees and Mariano and less on who we are playing or what the score is.

Yanks & ACC Announce Six Year Deal For Pinstripe Bowl

The New York Yankees and the ACC have announce a six year pact for the yearly Pinstripe Bowl played at Yankees Stadium every year. The New Era Pinstripe Bowl is played in December every season and will include an ACC team for the next six seasons at least and will play a team from the Big Ten conference.

This partnership started way back in the early 1980's when Jenny Steinbrenner, daughter of George Steinbrenner, was attending the University of North Carolina for her college years. George brought the Yankees down to UNC to play an exhibition game three of the four years Jenny was enrolled there. The UNC athletic director, John Swofford, is now the commissioner of the ACC and has not forgotten the generosity given to them from George.

This is hopefully the beginning of a great partnership and the attendance and hype over the New Era Pinstripe Bowl will continue to grow.

Yankees Will Play Exhibition W/ West Point

The New York Yankees have announced that they will play an exhibition game with the West Point Academy on March 30th. That day is significant because it is the day after they play the Washington Nationals in an exhibition game and two days after Spring Training and the Grapefruit League schedule will end. Further details, including I am assuming how to purchase tickets, will be released by the Yankees organization at a later date.

Yankees & Nationals Will Play Exhibition 3/29/13

The New York Yankees and the Washington Nationals have announced that they will play an exhibition game at Nationals Park in Washington DC on March 29th tat 2:00 pm ET. A portion of the earnings will go to the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation which is a charity that helps kids in the Washington DC area. Single game tickets will go on sale through the Washington Nationals and all details will come at a later date so check in at nationals.com/dream for all the details.
