Former Yankee Update : Roger Clemens

Roger Clemens, yes the 50 year old right handed seven time Cy Young Award winning starting pitcher, has signed a deal with the independent league's Sugar Land Skeeters to be a starting pitcher again. The Skeeters are based out of Clemen's home town in Houston, TX and are managed by former MLB player Gary Gaetti. The Skeeters have not shied away from signing former major leaguers to bring in the fans as they have signed guys like Scott Kazmir, Jason Lane, and Tim Redding just this season.

Clemens has had a full workout and has been hitting 87 mph consistently on his fastball. Clemens will start this Saturday for the Skeeters.
