Morning Bits: Is Jeter taken for granted? and more...

mug3Good morning all.  Hope you all had a nice weekend.   For those that are off today enjoy the Holiday.   Let's get to the Yankee links...

-- Pat Borzi of The New York Times has a good article on the challenges of Jeter's recovery.

-- Wallace Matthews of ESPN NY writes that Jeter is taken for granted.

-- Bryan Hoch of MLB.com has a bunch of Yankee notes in this article.

  1. Jeters ankle injury was the same as the one I had, I actually broke it in a game but, it was ok as far as I could tell. Then a few days later I made a bad move and it Snapped! I had A rod put in from the knee to the ankle along with a list of screws and all kinds of things. The difference is, he is 39 and is almost in playing shape, whereas, I was 60+ and it took me about a full year. I wonder if he will have the screws and stuff taken out of his ankle come the off-season, I did because they were rubbing against my shoes!
So, I must apologise for my ambivalent attitude when they said he would be ok by the start of the season.
