This Day In Yankees History 4/14


On this day in 1955 Elston Howard would become the first black player to play for the New York Yankees. Elston would later win the MVP award in the American League in 1963. Elston would finish his career with nine All Star Games and 54 World Series games in his 14 year playing career.
