This Day In Yankees History 4/23


On this day in 1903 the Highlanders, which would soon be known as the Yankees, would win their first game in the franchises history with a 7-2 win over the Washington Senators in American League Park.


On this day in 2000 the Yankees Bernie Williams and Jorge Posada become the first set of teammates in Major League history to both hit a home run from both sides of the plate in the same game. The Yankees would beat the Blue Jays 10-7 in this game.
