No Nunez again. I HATE playing the infield back with a man on 3rd and 1 out. I can live with it with 0 Outs because you don't want to risk a big inning but what is the risk with 1 out? Risking a 1 out single isn't worth cutting down a cheap run? Shields can be a tough pitcher so to give KC a run to tie it in the 3rd inning isn't wise. Of course, Cain hit a routine grounder to SS to score the run. I hate that strategy.
Bad news from the minors. RHP Gabe Encinas was removed in the middle of the 3rd inning with an apparent arm injury. Gabe was having a breakout season for Charleston with an ERA below 1.00 and a Fastball in the mid-90s. Hopefully it isn't serious.
