A Rod Will Be Suspended Through 2014 On Monday

It is pretty much official that Major League Baseball will suspend Alex Rodriguez for the remainder of the 2013 season and all of the 2014 season due to his ties to the Biogenesis clinic. MLB will also prevent Alex from playing during the appeals process of his 212 game ban by protecting the integrity of the game. Alex and his lawyers will surely appeal and this is expected to get very ugly very quick.

If the report is correct Alex will lose $34,200,000 in salary in which will not count against the luxury tax for this season or next. Alex is also expected to retire after the suspension is over if not sooner so we may have seen the last of Alex Rodriguez in major league baseball.
