On this day in 1995, at the request from Mickey Mantle's family, Bob Costas spoke at Mickey's funeral delivering a eulogy. Bob would describe Mantle as "a fragile hero to whom we had an emotional attachment so strong and lasting that it defied logic" and you can see that eulogy above. Enjoy.
