New York Yankees Injuries Update

Michael Pineda has been sent for a precautionary MRI on his throwing shoulder before starting a throwing program. The Yankees just want to make sure there is nothing physically wrong before they try again with Pineda.

Kelly Johnson thinks he is available to hit tonight after leaving last nights game after being hit on three fingers with a pitch while trying to bunt. Manager Joe Girardi said that this was a normal day off for Johnson and keeping him on the bench would be more precautionary than anything.

Alex Rodriguez is not injured technically but he is restricted and I don't want him getting any more unnecessary attention by having his own post so here we go. A Rod dropped his final lawsuit against the Yankees team doctor Dr. Chris Ahmad and plans to play next season in New York. The Yankees owe him $61 million whether he plays or not so why not, right?
