The New York Yankees and the Minnesota Twins will face off
once again tonight in the Bronx as the third part of their four-game set to
start the week. This is good news if you’re a Yankees fan and probably bad news
if you’re a Twins fan. The Yankees have just seemingly dominated the Twins in
every aspect of the game for a long, long time now and I just can’t see that
changing any time soon. Looking to keep this dominant streak going tonight will
be Sonny Gray who takes the ball for the Yankees while the Twins put their
fortunes on the arm of Lance Lynn. Let’s get to it here in the Bronx.
Gray will look for sunny skies over the Bronx tonight after
bringing the rain in his last couple of starts, especially his last start
against the Toronto Blue Jays. In his last two starts Gray has pitched a total
of 6.1 inning including five runs and four walks allowed performance against
the Blue Jays in his last start. This will be the first time Gray faces the
Twins in a Yankees uniform.
Lynn is still looking for his first win as a member of the
Minnesota Twins after losing once again in his last start for the club. Lynn
allowed five earned runs and five walks in six innings of work against the
Tampa Bay Rays in his last start. Lynn will be making his Yankee Stadium debut
tonight in the Bronx.
The game will be played at 6:35 pm ET inside Yankee Stadium
and can be seen on the YES Network. You can also follow along with the game on
MLB TV, with the MLB At-Bat app, and by tuning into the Yankees radio broadcast
on WFAN with John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman.
Enjoy the game, leave Lynn still winless, and go Yankees!!
