Pitching Guru Billy Connors Relieved Of His Duties

Billy Connors has been part of the Yankees organization since as early as the 1980's. He served as the Yankees pitching coach in 1989-1990, again in 1994-1995, and a third time in 2000. He has been a huge part of the Yankees organization down in Tampa since being appointed a "pitching guru" by George Steinbrenner. His most recent job in the organization was helping young minor leaguers rehab their injuries but has been removed of these duties, effect immediately.
