Mark Teixeira Has Inflammation In His Wrist

While Mark Teixeira did not receive the best news he could have he heard news that was far better than what he could have. An MRI today showed that he had mild inflammation in his wrist and no new tears. He will receive a cortisone shot and will avoid a DL stint and surgery for the time being. I expect Teix to probably at least miss today's game and the Dodgers series before he tries it again.
