Comparing New York Yankees Arbitration Numbers

MLB Trade Rumors released their predictions for the arbitration eligible Yankees this week predicting what each player will likely command this year. MLBTR is usually pretty spot on or within a few percentage points so everyone around the baseball world does, or should, take what they have to say to heart since they are rarely ever wrong. Earlier in the offseason I took my own stab at predicting the Yankees arbitration numbers with a varying degree of success. HERE is the original post of mine back at the beginning of October and below is my predictions with MLBTR's predictions. See how they stack up, did I do good?

  1. Brett is the only one that truly surprised me. He has been a huge part of the Yankees this and last year...with many clutch and game winning hits, being on base when it was really needed.
I like your prediction better than MLBTR. The guy gives you everything he has all the time.

    1. Yeah it shocked the hell out of me when I saw how low his total was. Not that I am complaining because it helps out 189 million goal.

  2. Gardner had a fantastic year. TWASP has predicted his stardom when others were saying he was a 4th outfielder. SPEED KILLS.tm

PS ..if his eyes were not so close together he would be a better base stealer

    1. I bet Gardner missing so much time last year due to injury probably hurt his arbitration numbers a tad
