Brian McCann Almost A Red Sox?

Brian McCann had interest in joining the Boston Red Sox this past winter before signing a very lucrative contract with the New York Yankees. David Ross, the Red Sox backup catcher, said in an interview with WEEI.com that his friend McCann definitely had interest in Boston before signing with New York.

Here is the quote from Ross:

"Early on I did (think McCann would come to Boston). I knew he wanted to come here, a lot. I had just told him what it was like here and that interested him."

"The Red Sox weren’€™t even close to what he got, so it really was a no-brainer."

Thankfully the Red Sox offer was no where near New York's and the Yankees got their man once again.

  1. I think it is time for Roberts, Jeter, Solarte and Ells to mark the HR column! Of course for Jeter it will have to come on Tuesday but, that's alright, anytime will do!

  2. I'm not as worried about Ellsbury and Solarte hitting home runs since they are hitting so many extra base hits.
