9/18 Open Game Thread vs. Toronto Blue Jays

Welcome to tonight’s open thread for the game between the New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays. This is the first game of a four game set this week and weekend at Yankee Stadium. Tonight we will see Shane Greene head to the mound to face off with the Blue Jays RA Dickey. The game will be played at 7:05 pm ET and can be seen on the YES Network, MLB TV, and can be heard on the radio with WFAN.

Get your Yankees tickets and see Derek Jeter in his final weekend at Yankee Stadium. Also be sure to follow the blog on Twitter by following @GreedyStripes and be sure to like our page on Facebook by searching for The Greedy Pinstripes.

It’s an open thread and I know we are all discouraged and depressed but use the comments section anyway to chat with your fellow fans. Enjoy the game Yankees family. Go Yankees!

  1. Shane Greene says "Fuck You" Joe Girardi and "Fuck You Too" to Shawn Kelley.

    1. FIRST...two handed beer drinkers. ( It is a skill set, but I've mastered it.)
Now the ' salty language ', as we say in the fleet... re: the F ....word.

Sir, you lead by example, the F..word ? Now the norm ?

  2. Yeah, jackass Kelly blew another great start. But with Cashman as a GM and Girardi as a manager, that's our setup guy next year.

  4. That's the wisdom of our organization. We have Claiborne down in the pen, with a fresh arm and better results, but Kelly gets the call and lays another turd.

  5. Hell we had Betances could for another inning. He threw like 4 pitches the inning before. For him that's almost like a day off.

    1. There were numerous options that Girardi could have chosen, yet he continues to run Kelly out there. It's ridiculous. I was mad enough to drop a f-bomb myself.

  6. The "F" word will not become the norm, the season ends soon and I can stop getting pissed about Joe Girardi and his bullpen management.
