Thank You For Such a Wonderful 2016 Season

What a season 2016 has been both for the New York Yankees and for us here at The Greedy Pinstripes. We've been doing this a long time now and somehow every season just keeps on getting better and better for us. Views are up. Twitter followers are up. Comments are up. The number of varying views and different writers are up (with another on the way soon so look out for that sometime next week). We introduced TGP T-Shirts, we introduced the "It's Not What You Want" Podcast brought to you by The Greedy Pinstripes and so much more.

162 games, 162 game thread not including spring training, the All-Star Game and exhibition games. So many Meet a Prospect posts. So much of everything and you know what? We're going to do it all again next year.

None of this is possible without our readers, commenters, followers, friends and family. Thank you. We are nothing without you and we fully realize and appreciate that, and you. Thank you again for another great season and don't worry, while some blogs go to sleep for the winter we don't here at TGP. Stay tuned, we're just getting started.

Game Thread: New York Yankees @ Houston Astros 7/25

The New York Yankees and the Houston Astros are set to kick off a three-game series here in Houston in just a few minutes in a tale of two stories for each team. The Astros still have a shot at winning the division this season or at the very least winning a Wild Card while the Yankees don't know which direction they are going in. They need to figure it out though as the team has six more games before the August 1st trading deadline including tonight. In the start tonight the Yankees will send Michael Pineda to the mound to face off with Dallas Keuchel for the Astros. The game will be played at 8:10 pm ET and can be seen on WPIX Channel 11 and MLB TV.

Game Thread: New York Yankees vs. San Francisco Giants 7/24

The New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants will finish off their three-game weekend set this afternoon in the Bronx. In the finale the Giants will send Jeff Samardzija to the mound in what could be, on paper heading into this series in my opinion anyway, the Yankees best chance to win a game while the Yankees counter with Nathan Eovaldi. The game will be played at 1:05 pm ET inside Yankee Stadium and can be seen on the YES Network, TBS and MLB TV.

We’re back in the Bronx and back inside Yankee Stadium for the second of a three-game weekend set between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. After facing a tough knuckle ball pitcher in Steven Wright last night and with a tough lefty looming in the distance tomorrow in David Price this may be as close to a must-win for the Yankees as possible. No pressure as the Yankees send CC Sabathia to the mound this afternoon looking for that victory while the Red Sox counter with Eduardo Rodriguez. The game will be played at 4:05 pm ET inside Yankee Stadium and can be seen on the YES Network, Fox Sports One and MLB TV.
