Stephen Drew Comes Off Yanks Board, Signs W/ Boston

The Yankees had very mild interest in Stephen Drew, and I am sure that mild interest turned to zero interest after acquiring Kevin Youkilis, but Drew came off the Yankees board today after signing a one year deal with the Boston Red Sox worth a whopping $9.5 million. That is a very big over-payment, much a dumb signing, generous offer from the Red Sox. I cannot believe this signing to be completely honest but Bill Cherington is supposed to be some sort of genius and I am just a guy who writes for a blog so what do I know?
