This Day In New York Yankees History 5/10

On this day in 1934 the New York Yankees beat the Chicago White Sox 11-3 and the Yankee clipper Lou Gehrig had himself a week. Gehrig hit four extra base hits tying a big league record including two doubles and two home runs. Gehrig had 12 total bases and seven RBI's in just five innings when he benched himself due to a severe cold.
