No words....

  1. I've got some words. Anybody that thinks it's a better move to option Refsnyder and keep people like Drew and Ryan are complete morons with an iq of 2. They need to be punched in the face.

    1. Why not let us know how you really feel about Refs being sent packing, Jeff!
By the way, a few on this blog agree with you!

    2. Don't worry my rant is coming as soon as I can put pen to paper without using words that children shouldn't be reading.

  2. While I hate the idea that we have to put up with Drew/Ryan for another day, let alone a couple of weeks, I understand what Cashman is saying. Keep all your bullets until you have to fire the gun, because you never know how much ammo you might need.

The Yankees are not desperate for every run right now. So why not wait as long as you can before making a decision? Hell, the decision seems pretty clear to me and you, but unless the team HAS to make that choice now, then why not wait things out? For all we know one of those three guys could get hurt tomorrow, and then what?

Actually, if that were the case, I suppose that could mean a promotion for Pirela, who is doing well in AAA.

I'm trying to find justification for this move, but it's hard. Real hard.

  3. I've calmed down since Sunday morning, so I see the logic in why the move was made. It still angers me though. We're the consumers that feed this 3.2 billion dollar industry. I'm tired of seeing scrubs like Drew and Ryan plugging holes on this roster. And from what I've read, I'm not the only one.

  4. I'll give you a damn good reason why Bryan, it's called over grooming your prospects. It's called discouraging your prospects to the point that their development goes in the opposite direction.

It also send a message to the fans that the team cares about getting every last bit out of that 7 mill owed to these two bums before turning to Pirela or Refsnyder.

It sent me a message, never get attached to anyone on this team because there is always someone a lot older, higher paid and that sucks more than can replace him.

  5. Jeff I don't see the logic in the move. Name one team that would claim Ryan on waivers after a DFA and would pick up his 2 mill salary with team option for 2016. Only team dumb enough is the Mets and if they want him I say good riddance.

So Ryan returns to the organization not on the 40 man roster and were paying him for nothing, what else is new??

    1. I'm just trying to talk myself into something I don't really believe. I know he got sent down because he had options. I don't know who to be more pissed off at. Is it Cashman making these decisions? Or is it Girardi begging for his POS veterans? Truth be told, I'm pissed at both of them. They should both be smart enough baseball people to know that this division is too close to be content with Drew or Ryan. I was so pissed on Sunday, I couldn't even watch the game. I did something productive and took my wife to lunch. I pay for the YES network, I pay for MLB extra innings, I bought another $30 Yankee hat on Saturday to add to my other 15 or so, I'm PISSED!

    2. I'm pissed as well. I bought my Yankees tickets for when they come to Atlanta and I was looking at a #64 jersey when he was sent down. Never closed down the Yankees shop so fast in my life.

This has to be a Cashman move. Girardi was seemingly ready to hand him the second base job before the demotion.

    3. Could it be all about the money as most of us have touched on before?
Ryan and Drew can't be traded...no one wants or needs them which gives me a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach! Could be they have a second baseman in the last stages of a trade?
Martin Prado is the answer for Ryan/Drew, we all agree on that...I think! If Refsy is to be our 2nd baseman of the future, bring him up now, let him become a vet before the playoffs, thus he wouldn't be a liability. Prado can play at the minimum of five of 6/7 games a week for someone.

If this group of owners is going to run this team on the premise of money/vets over the best player....!
