Game Thread: New York Yankees vs. Cleveland Indians 8/22

Wow, what a ceremony. Say what you will about the Yankees, their organization or the Steinbrenner family but no one puts on a ceremony and a show like the New York Yankees organization. In an era where the NFL is under constant attack for not taking care of one of their own the same absolutely cannot be said about the New York Yankees. A big congratulations goes out to Jorge Posada, his family and everyone affiliated with the New York Yankees from the owners down to the fans. In the immortal words of Derek Jeter on Derek Jeter Day "we've got a game to play." The Yankees will send Luis Severino to the mound this afternoon to face off with Danny Salazar for the Indians. The game will be played at 1:05 pm ET and can be seen on the YES Network, MLB Network and MLB TV.

You're running out of time to click the Yankees Tickets link at the top of the blog and you're running out of time to see Andy Pettitte Day live tomorrow at Yankee Stadium. If you can't make it live or don't want to pay an arm and a leg on the secondary tickets market then simply jump on Twitter and give @GreedyStripes a follow to interact during each and every Yankees game this season.

Who's ready to see Severino get his first Major League win? This guy! Go Yankees!
