Weekly Prospects Check In: Ian Clarkin

The New York Yankees lack starting pitching depth in their minor league system and they especially lack it from the left side of the pitching rubber. Ian Clarkin is the Yankees one saving grace in that department so let's take a look at what the Yankees former first round pick has been up to since the 2016 season has began.

Just as an FYI Clarkin missed the entire 2015 season with an unidentified elbow injury and got his work in with the Surprise Saguaros of the Arizona Fall League. Now Clarkin is biding his time in Tampa waiting on that call from the Yankees that sends him to the Double-A Trenton and beyond.
