Ownership Pulled The Alfonso Soriano Trade Trigger

Here we go again with the ownership making deals that Brian Cashman advises against, although the last one worked out not so bad when we signed another Soriano in Rafael Soriano. It is surpriging to me though that Hal Steinbrenner, the fiscal guru, is wanting a guy with $25,000,000 left on a contract that takes him through next season but hey what do I know. I think this sets a scray and bad precedence to let the ownership dictate which deals will and will not be made. You hired Brian Cashman to do a job and you either have faith in him to do his job or you don't, there can't be any middle ground here.
